About

Barbara J Jacobsen Artist

Drawing began in the early 2000s while I was a missionary in Africa. Surrounded by children, overcome with compassion and love, I wanted to capture the beauty of these precious children.

This is often how I was greeted by the children! Many had never seen a “white person”.

INK DRAWINGS

Pointillism is a technique of drawing that involves placing dots of ink in close proximity to each other to create a larger image. The gift of turning drawings into ink illustrations grew through a desire to depict the beauty of children and animals.

Limited edition prints of the drawings, numbered and signed, are offered to the public. These are produced using high quality giclee printing on special 235g/m acid free smooth surface paper.
